funds disbursement. Why the Support Our Schools Program Needs You Our state is ranked among the worst in the nation for K-12 education. Calfornia is third from the bottom in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). 1 California spends $800 below the national average of $6,000 per student per year. 2 Every school district in California receives the same state funding per student. At this low level of funding, no district can afford reasonable offerings for arts, library programs, counseling, health and technology. The districts that have arts, technology and library programs are funded by private donations. About the Sunnyvale School District Education Foundation The Sunnyvale School District Education Foundation (SSDEF) provides resources to support innovative opportunities for student success. SSDEF raises funds in order to maximize the skills of every student in the district by initiating meaning- ful programs that:
Reward teachers innovative ideas Transform school libraries into high-tech learning resource centers Promote community and business relationships The SSDEF is a California non-prot corporation with tax-exempt status under the States Franchise Tax Board and under IRS rule 501 (c) 3. Our Tax I.D. Number is 77-0574182. For more information, please visit our website at ssdef.org . About Sunnyvale Auto Row Sunnyvale Auto Row is an automobile dealer association consisting of eleven
